GENERAL INSTALLATION GUIDELINES:
Cutting:
Danpalon Panels shall be cut using a sharp fine tooth handsaw, circular saw with fine tooth metal blade. Cutting may produce fine plastic chips getting into the panel cells, remove by a vacuum or clean compressor air gun. Always protect the Danpalon surface to be used from saw drag marks during the cutting operation.
Handling:
Do not compress or use chains or ropes directly on or around the Danpalon Panels. Man handle panels signally to avoid unnecessary surface rubbing. Do not allow the plastic protection on the Danpalon Panels to coming to direct heat /sunlight, remove just prior to construction. Protect edges and surface finishes from damage.
Storage:
Refer to specific Storage instructions
. DANPALON PANELS MUST BE STORED IN A DRY AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Cleaning:
Periodical maintenance is recommended to prevent the accumulation of debris that is both unattractive and potentially detrimental to polycarbonate sheeting. The sheets are self-cleaning to a certain extent when installed at a pitch greater than 5 degrees. However, incidental cleaning is occasionally necessary (depending on environmental conditions), particularly during or immediately after construction work. The manufacturer’s recommendations can be downloaded from the link below - DANPALON Cleaning Instruction
Silicon:
Use non-acidic neutral silicon.

This Span Chart should only be used as an indication only where there would be virtually no deflection. End spans occur at both the top and bottom of a roof fall. For roofs with a slope greater than 25° please contact us for more info. These spans are based on a design wind speed of 41m/s which equates to a 1kPa wind load.
For all other roof and cladding span requirements refer DANPALON Span Charts. |
